Gareth was the best elopement photographer we could have asked for. He was on the ball and covered our every need and above! We did a lot of research when looking for our photographer and immediately connected with Gareth’s personality and style that fit exactly what we were looking for. He sent us a preview within 3 days and our fully edited photographs within 3 weeks of our elopement! Destination Wedding FAQ's

Where are you willing to travel to?

We are willing to travel to just about anywhere for your wedding.

Do we book your flights?

No. When you book us for your destination wedding, we will handle all of our travel arrangements to get to and from your destination. We do ask you to book a room for us under your room block but we will handle all of our other expenses to get to and from your destination.

How long will you usually stay?

We will arrive 1 TO 2 days prior to your wedding, and leave 1 to 2 days after, that will give us 1 day to scout, photograph your rehearsal (if needed or required), as well as a creative session the day after. This is an amazing event in your life, and want to make sure that we capture all of your amazing memories.

Can we do an engagement shoot where we live?

Most definitely! We can come to you to do your engagement shoot or we can do it at another place. If you are able to meet us wherever we are traveling for other work, then there would be no additional travel fees to shoot your session there as well! Michael teaches photographers all over the world, and travels monthly to new locations, so there are plenty to choose from throughout the year!

What’s your style?

Our style is most often described as “creative.” We come from Art backgrounds, which gives us the ability to photograph and tell your day as it unfolds also putting a lot of time and attention to detail into your “creative portraits.” We look for interesting light, angles and backgrounds, and often use unusual, experimental techniques to turn your wedding portraits into works of art.

How can we meet with you, we don’t live in South Africa. Is there an alternative?

The majority of our couples hire us without an in-person meeting. We are very thorough through our emails, questionnaires and phone calls and we are able to answer most questions in those ways.

However, we can schedule a Skype meeting which works so great. A lot of of our out-of-town clients prefer this, and we can always find a time and method that works for you.

What do you do if it rains on our wedding day?

We easily adapt to any situation very quick. We see the rain as a fun, adventurous twist that usually brings laughter and creativity to your Big Day. We do take the necessary precautions when it comes to our equipment and are always prepared for just such an event. If you are game and willing to get a little wet we would definitely take you out on your venue to get some of the most stunning and once in a lifetime memories.
